Hi, I'm Kate!
“The workshop was so supportive and perfectly pitched. It was very welcoming and comfortable. The level of instruction, reflection, and scope were well balanced. I'm still feeling the good effects of the workshop.”
-Diane A.
I'm a gentle yoga teacher who helps highly sensitive, empathetic people create space in their life for self-care. Since 2002, I’ve supported thousands of yoga students internationally.
My little neurodiverse family lives in a magical land called Brooklyn.
I founded The Compassion Club to give you a soft landing where you can breathe, move, and heal in community.
Breaking cycles is hard, and we all need support. In this community you’ll be gently guided to become more present and courageous in your life and relationships.
"The online group has had so many benefits for me. To be able to practice in my own home brings me such comfort. To share this class with others has been therapeutic. I can be much more "involved" with the class because I feel uninhibited in my private space. Kate is an amazing teacher, guide, and friend. Her depth of knowledge about her craft is extensive. Her level of compassion for her students, as well as for the world, is inspiring."
-Kathryn H.
" I joined Kate's class with trepidation. My previous yoga experiences left me feeling like I wasn't getting it. These classes help me slow down and take care of myself. The best thing that happens is I fall asleep at the end. This is an incredible feeling. When I wake up I feel so at peace.
Honestly it's just the most wonderful feeling.
It doesn't happen every class, but when it does I consider it a success."

Santosha = contentment.
Not that we're going to stay content with the things that are wrong in the world, but right now, this moment is already here, exactly as it is, so we can't change it.
Instead, we can preserve, harness, and focus our energy so we can make a difference in the next moment.
